YouTube is adding a new dimension to the way you watch your favorite viral clips by rolling out support for 360-degree videos.

Using Google Chrome on a desktop or the Android YouTube App, you can watch the new 360-degree videos and rotate your perspective to get a different view of the action. Owners of virtual reality headsets like Google Cardboard or the Oculus Rift can get an even more immersive experience from the new footage.

The new 360-degree footage could be especially useful for videos of concerts or sporting events.

Google is also hoping to bring the 360-degree videos to other devices, like Apple’s iPhone and iPad.

Google, which owns YouTube took home $66 billion in revenue in 2014, up 19% year-over-year. However, falling ad prices have recently taken their toll on the company’s bottom line. A recent Wall Street Journalreport indicted YouTube breaks even.
